UPADR.PPS - May 6, 1993
Brian Hillis did a little variation on Ralph LoBianco's PPL file
called UPDATE. Ralph's allowed users to update their own USER records
if you have the new Address TPA installed.
Brian's modification allowed users to update their information at
any time, whenever it suits them, so you can just leave it sitting
around in case anyone needs it.
The main reason Brian modified Ralph's program was to allow for
Canadian Provinces and Postal Codes, as well as the provision for
different Language display files.
In Brian's words, "It's not real fancy, but it does the job."
This modification was done to allow this program to be loaded as a logon
script and brought up only if a users address fields were empty while still
permitting the use of Brian's UPDATE program so a user could change his
address info whenever. And a few other minor changes.
To Install:
1. Place the UPADR.PPE and UPADR files in the same directory.
2. Install this as your login script questionnaire.
(PCBSetup | File Locations | New User / Logoff Questionnaires).
Example:
Name/Loc of Logon Script Quest. : C:\PCB\PPE\UPADR.PPE
Name/Loc of Logon Script Answers :
If you already have a PPE that is running as your logon script questionnaire,
then you could easily use the CALL PPL statement to execute UPADR.PEE.
Feel free to modify it to suit your specific needs.
Should you have any questions and/or comments regarding this PPL, feel free to
leave them in the Salt-Air Beta Conference or my BBS located in Pembroke Pines
FL. Access is immediate for visiting sysops. The number is (305) 432-2223.
